REVIEW: Navigating the crypto universe with Coinigy

First impressions

Upon landing on the Coinigy website, we were greeted by a clean and modern interface that immediately caught my eye. The layout was intuitive, with easy-to-navigate menus and a sleek design that made me feel right at home. The homepage showcased the platform's key features and benefits, giving me a good overview of what to expect.

Coinigy's all about making things simple, whether you're a newbie or an old hand at trading. The layout's designed to be easy to navigate, with everything you need right there at the top of the screen.

And hey, if you're into charts, you're gonna love it. They use TradingView's charts, which are super slick and easy to understand.

Coinigy mobile app

If you're always on the go, don't worry, Coinigy's got you covered with their mobile app for Android and iOS. It's got a pretty solid rating on the App Store and lets you do all the important stuff like checking your portfolio and looking at charts. The only downside is that some features from the web platform aren't available on mobile, but it's still handy for keeping tabs on your investments.

Navigating the Coinigy platform was a breeze thanks to its user-friendly interface. The dashboard was laid out in a logical manner, with easy access to all the key features and tools I needed to get started. I particularly liked the customizable workspace, which allowed me to arrange my charts and data feeds exactly how we wanted them. Everything was responsive and snappy, with no lag or delays, even during peak trading hours.

Signing up

Signing up for Coinigy was a breeze. We simply clicked on the "Sign Up" button and were prompted to enter my email address and create a password. Once we verified my email, we were ready to go! The whole process took less than a minute, which was a pleasant surprise compared to some other platforms we've tried in the past. Coinigy also offers a free trial period, so we were able to test out the platform risk-free before committing to a subscription.

Because the platform doesn't directly handle customer funds or offer trading features, creating a Coinigy account is simple and doesn’t require Know-Your-Customer (KYC) verification. Customers only need an email address and password to open an account with the company, making it extremely accessible.

Key features

Now, let's talk about the real meat and potatoes: the key features of Coinigy. There's just so much to love about this platform! Here are a few standout features that really caught my attention:

  • Unified Dashboard: The unified dashboard is the heart of the Coinigy platform, providing a comprehensive overview of your trading activities and portfolio performance. From here, we could track real-time prices, analyse market trends, and execute trades across multiple exchanges, all from one convenient location.
  • Advanced Charting Tools: With a wide range of technical indicators, drawing tools, and customization options, we felt like a kid in a candy store! Whether you're a seasoned trader or just starting out, these tools are sure to take your trading game to the next level.
  • Portfolio Management: Managing our cryptocurrency portfolio has never been easier thanks to Coinigy's portfolio management features. We could track the performance of my investments, monitor my asset allocation, and set price alerts to stay ahead of market movements. Plus, with support for over 6,000 cryptocurrencies, we could keep all my holdings organised and accessible in one place.
  • Market Data Aggregation: Coinigy aggregates market data from over 45 cryptocurrency exchanges, giving me access to real-time prices, order books, and trade volumes from a single source. This not only saved me time but also helped me get the best possible price when executing trades. Whether I was looking to buy, sell, or exchange cryptocurrencies, Coinigy ensured that I had access to the most up-to-date information available.
  • Supported Fiat Currencies and Deposit Methods: If you're looking to sign up for Coinigy, you've got a bunch of options for paying your subscription fee. While transactions are in USD, you can pay using over 130 different fiat currencies through credit/debit cards or PayPal. Just keep in mind that if you're outside the US, you might face some currency conversion fees, so it's good to check those out beforehand. And hey, if you're already into cryptocurrencies, you can even pay using nine different cryptos like Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Dogecoin through Coinbase Commerce.
  • Supported Cryptocurrencies and Exchanges: Now, Coinigy isn't a crypto exchange itself. Instead, you connect it to your favourite exchange, like Binance or KuCoin, and trade through that. It's linked up with a whopping 43 exchanges, giving you access to over 5,000 cryptocurrencies and 20,000 trading pairs. That's a lot of options, right? And the cool thing is, you're not limited by which exchange you prefer.
  • Coinigy Pricing and Fees: There are a couple of subscription plans to choose from. The Pro Trader plan starts at $18.66 a month, but there are discounts if you pay for a few months or a year upfront. There's also a plan for developers that costs $99.99 a month, giving you some extra goodies like priority support and fancy API access. Sure, it might be a tad pricier than some other similar tools out there, but the advanced features like charting tools and asset screeners might just make it worth it.
  • Customer Service: Now, let's talk about customer service. As first-time users, we had a few questions and concerns along the way, and were pleasantly surprised by how responsive and helpful the Coinigy support team was. Whether via email or live chat, we always received prompt and courteous assistance from knowledgeable representatives who were eager to help. It's clear that Coinigy values its customers and is committed to providing top-notch support at every step of the way.

The Verdict

From the intuitive user interface to the comprehensive set of features and responsive customer support, our first time experience with Coinigy was a balanced combination of ease and slight confusion. Whether you're a seasoned trader or just starting out, Coinigy does offer everything you need to succeed in the world of cryptocurrency trading. But if you’re new to the game, you’d probably want to spend some time learning the ropes beforehand. All things considered, Coinigy stands to help you level up your cryptocurrency trading game – provided you’re ready.
